Woke up to another beautiful sunrise in
Rick needed a large patch sewn on his jacket and there was supposedly a good place to have this done at Broadway At The Beach. We decided to go there and check out the vendors and motorcycles while Rick had his jacket attended to.
Broadway At The Beach is a collection of retail stores surrounding a small lake. There are a few large bridges which cross the lake at strategic places. These bridges are for pedestrian traffic and add to the character of the place. The lake is stocked with fish and visited by ducks. There are vending machines similar to gumball machines which dispense some sort of feed nuggets for the fish and ducks. The fish and ducks tend to congregate in the water under these points on the bridges. If you lean over to look at them, you are likely to see a bunch of fish sticking their heads out of the water and opening their mouths. I am sure that they associate seeing people lean over the bridge with the immanent arrival of food. You can see the same sort of behavior in bikers as they visit the many vendors that set up in the parking lot and in common walk areas near the bridges.
It is not only entertaining to see the hundreds of privately owned motorcycles in the parking lot, but many vendors bring unusual motorcycles to display and hopefully generate interest in their workmanship or product lines.
Rick, Mark, and Tanya departed to travel back to
We at lunch there and then returned to the resort to relax and decide what to do for dinner. That decision was unanimously in favor of Carrabas Italian Restaurant. A good meal was followed by an hour in the hot tub to put the cap on a fun and relaxing day.
